Our new supplementary course, Awaab’s Law & PcFRAs, helps social housing providers confidently identify and address fire and electrical hazards while understanding the significant impact Awaab’s Law has on operational planning and day-to-day service delivery. The Regulations are enforced by the Regulator of Social Housing and apply across all social housing, including both houses and flats.
The training focuses on how Awaab’s Law applies in practice across all social housing stock, not just flats, and how fire and electrical hazards are assessed within the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) for disabled and vulnerable tenants. It covers how tenant circumstances influence risk and urgency, the requirements for make-safe action, and when alternative accommodation may be required to manage serious fire and electrical hazards.
The Awaab’s Law & PcFRAs course is included at no additional cost for participants of the Annual Pass and those undertaking the PEEPs for Professionals Foundation, Practical PEEPs, and Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessment courses, and is not available as a stand-alone purchase.
