Equality For All
The Law: The Equality Act came into force in October 2010 providing a modern, single legal framework with clear, streamlined law to more effectively tackle disadvantage and discrimination.The Equality & Human Rights Commission (EHRC) made a submission to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry relating to vulnerable and disabled people, which focused on the following issues:
- the right to life
- cladding
- the need to act quickly
- fire safety
- vulnerable groups
- equality and non-discrimination
- access to participating in the inquiry
